Air cooling and heating systems are an essential component of every household, but some models are better than others. This depends on your circumstances, average climate, and other conditions that make some factors more important than others when considering which A/C model to buy and install. For example, a recently repainted home using the best water-based latex paint can suffer from sap-like brown spots due to humidity. You may not have known this until it happened because it’s your first home, or time painting. A Rheem model would be an appropriate choice to prevent this problem from happening because of the fan structure that circulates the air and makes your unit hold less humidity. In non-subtropical climates, a different model would be more useful.

It’s best to consult with a professional because this can save you time, money and the longevity of your HVAC system in the future. In the meantime, below is a breakdown of many of the different brands of HVAC systems on the market, each offering their own set of unique characteristics:

Amana

Known for supplying great warranties, Amana heating and cooling systems are great to invest in. Also offering clean comfort, Amana units include air refiners, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers. These systems are also energy efficient, and great at energy management.

Bosch

Not a household name when it comes to residential or commercial air conditioners, Bosch does have a geothermal heat pump system that is built to be ultra-efficient and maintain low operating costs that comes in three options: air-to-air, water-to-air and water-to-water.

Note:

What is SEER?

SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. The average SEER is 12. SEER is the ratio of the cooling output of an air conditioner over a typical cooling season, divided by the energy it uses in Watt-Hours. In other words, the higher the SEER, the less electricity the unit uses.
